“The moment of surrender is not when life is over, it’s when it begins. “
Marianne Williamson
The practice of surrender in my own life has been the entry point or the portal to expansive living and to freedom. It has only been by surrendering the limited lens of my thinking mind that greater truths became available to me. Our dominant survival brain is wonderful for certain things, but survival alone can be a very narrow existence. Surrendering the dominant brain, the brain of what we think we know opens us up to infinite possibility and opens us up to spiritual evolution. Surrender was key in my getting sober and surrender continues to be key in making my world bigger. The Breathwork practice is so powerful to me because it embodies surrender, in 30 minutes you let go of the big brain and turn inward to the unknown, the body, the subconscious realms. I invite you to this Breathwork practice with the intention of practicing surrender to the unknown.
Breathwork is an active meditation that by occupying the mind creates space for the body to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. This is a practice that can aid in letting go of old narratives, traumas and fears as well as connecting you to clarity, inspiration and a greater sense of embodiment. If you have been feeling stuck in any area of your life, having difficulty allowing love in, moving past an old wound, I invite you to try this practice. As an active practice it can bring up emotions, but know that the body won't bring up anything it isn't ready to heal and the energy of the group will hold and support you. After Breathwork sessions people usually leave saying they feel energized and lighter.
